To me, reading is a private communication experience, which requires a tranquil environment so as to concentrate. In the library, keeping quiet is a generally followed discipline. Surrounded by people focusing on their own reading, your mind will naturally quiet down, feeling a sense of peace and well-being, and you’ll find yourself irresistible to joining in the reading, as if it is some kind of solemn ceremony, with the full respect to the knowledge. And this attitude towards reading and knowledge is the most appropriate one.
