From my perspective, it is rather impolite to interrupt others while they are talking. First of all, everyone deserves to be heard no matter what his/her standpoint is. Even if their ideas don't make any sense, hear them out first, and then raise your objection afterwards. Because you would like others to hear you through as well. Just as Voltaire said, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it ." Freedom of speech is an inborn right for every rational creature. Besides, interruption impedes a productive conversation from happening. When interrupted, it is easy to forget what you intend to say. Therefore, the conversation is likely to go off and fall apart.
